Sir Ringo Starr, the legendary drummer of The Beatles, is gearing up for a new musical journey! He's just announced his upcoming 10-track album, 'Long Long Road', and it's already creating a buzz in the music industry.
The iconic musician, born Richard Starkey, expressed his gratitude for working with renowned producer T Bone Burnett, who has an impressive resume. Starr revealed, 'I'm fortunate to collaborate with T Bone... After our previous record, this new album just came together.'
But here's where it gets interesting: Starr's decision to work with Burnett wasn't a random choice. He explains, 'Sometimes you make the right moves... One of those was teaming up with T Bone for the previous album, and now for this new one.'
The album, recorded in Nashville and LA, embraces country and Americana vibes, featuring musicians from the previous collaboration. Sir Ringo pays homage to guitarist Carl Perkins, whom he admired since his Beatles days. He said, 'We recorded two of his songs back then, and T Bone and I wanted to include one on this album.'
Burnett, a Grammy and Oscar winner, worked his magic, finding a hidden gem: 'I Don't See Me In Your Eyes Anymore', a track Starr hadn't heard before. He even wrote a song inspired by Starr's unique style, imagining him as a Texas artist.
Is this a sign of a potential new direction for Starr's music?
'Long Long Road' is set to drop on April 24th, leaving fans eager to explore this musical adventure. Will it be a nostalgic trip down memory lane or a bold new venture? You decide!
