Thailand's Film Frame Productions is making waves in the international film industry with its upcoming horror film, 'The Resident', directed by Chaiwat Sitalasai, co-director of the martial arts action film 'Thai Fighters'. This film, currently in post-production, stars 'Pie' Rinrada Kaewbuasai and Toomtam Yuttana and is set for a theatrical release in the fourth quarter of 2026. The story revolves around a young woman training to be a carer who, in her eagerness to help, inadvertently reveals a secret to her indebted boyfriend and his friend, leading to a thrilling turn of events. This is not Chaiwat's first foray into the horror genre; he previously directed 'Night Shift', another horror film, which is also set for release this year. Both 'Night Shift' and 'The Resident' are produced or co-produced by Film Frame Productions, a Bangkok-based production house founded by Pakin Maliwan in 2004. Film Frame has been instrumental in the success of 'Thai Fighters', which was recently acquired by 3388 Films for distribution in North America, Latin America, Europe, Australia, and Japan. The company's diverse portfolio includes producing and co-producing films, providing production services for U.S. and Asian films shooting in Thailand, and distributing Thai and international films in Thailand, including 'Blood Brothers' and 'Ejen Ali The Movie 2'.
